What is STANT?
STANT
is the Science Teachers Association of the Northern Territory. It is made up of volunteer
science educators from schools, the university and government education departments.
In 2009 STANT is undergoing an overhaul with a new program of professional development, activities and excursions for teachers, a compeitions launch event and social functions.
The program started with a tour of CDU equipment and facilities, followed by dinner at the Asian Gateway. More such events are planned for 2009.
March saw a launch party at Crocosaurus Cove for the 2009 year, including the launch of the 2009 competitions booklet.
